Holyhead is located on Holy Island, which is connected to Anglesey by bridge. The town is by no means a popular tourist destination; however, it still experiences a high demand for hotels on account of the large number of people who pass through the town while in transit to or from Ireland.
Popular hotels in the area include the Yr-Hendre, which holds a four-star AA rating and is less than half a mile from the ferry terminal.
